The short version
We hold your email address, which Patreon tiers you asked us to watch, and a record of alerts we sent you. Payment details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we never ask for your Patreon login.
What we actually store
Rather than describe this in general terms, here is the real contents of our database:
- Account — your email address, an identifier from our authentication provider, your plan (free or pro), and when you signed up.
- Billing — a Stripe customer and subscription identifier, your subscription status, and when the current period ends. No card number, expiry, or security code ever reaches our servers or database.
- Watches — the public Patreon campaign and tier identifiers you chose to monitor, and when you added them.
- Alerts — a record of notifications we sent you, including whether delivery succeeded, so we can tell when email is broken.
- Public Patreon data — tier names, prices, and remaining-seat counts. This is information Patreon publishes; it is not personal to you.
We do not collect analytics profiles, advertising identifiers, or browsing history, and we do not track you across other websites.
Why we hold it
- Your email, so we can send the alerts you signed up for and contact you about your account.
- Your watches, because they are the service.
- Billing identifiers, to run the subscription you bought.
- Alert records, to diagnose failures — a silently broken email path is the main way this service can fail you.
Our legal basis, where that concept applies to you, is performing the contract you entered into, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and secure.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers. Each receives only what it needs, and each is bound by its own terms:
- Clerk — authentication and sign-in. Holds your email and credentials.
- Stripe — payments. Holds your card details; we only see identifiers and status.
- Neon — the database described above, hosted in the United States.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- Cloudflare — runs the checker that polls Patreon.
- Resend — delivers alert emails. Receives your email address and message content.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Cookies
We use cookies set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Blocking the sign-in cookies will prevent you from logging in.
How long we keep it
Account and watch data is kept while your account exists. Alert records are kept while they remain useful for diagnosing delivery problems. If you delete your account we remove your account, watches, and alert history. Records we must keep for tax or accounting reasons — such as invoices held by Stripe — are retained for as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- Delete any watch at any time from your dashboard.
- Cancel a paid plan at any time; billing stops at the end of the paid period.
- Ask for a copy of your data, correction of it, or deletion of your account, by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Exercising any of these rights will never cause us to treat you differently.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy materially we will say so by email or in the app before it takes effect.
